Here’s a shout-out to another of our wonderful food donors, Fix & Fogg, our Wellington-based specialty peanut butter manufacturer.
Fix & Fogg have a strong belief in giving back to the community, and we’re immensely grateful for their ongoing donations of Lucky Dip Butter pails, made from nut butters from the end of their production runs. It would be easier, and cheaper to send it to landfill – but Fix & Fogg are committed to helping communities in need as well as the planet, so they make the effort to clear it out and keep it so that they can pass it on to be eaten and enjoyed!
Their most recent donation to the NZ Food Network was over 300kg of Lucky Dip Butter pails!
Fix & Fogg Orders and Operations Coordinator, Lauren King, says the enormous surge in demand for food donations this year means it is even more critical that they give back where they can.
“NZFN allows us to streamline our donations to one central hub where they're then distributed nationwide to a variety of charities and food banks, and specifically to those in high need. Logistically, the service NZFN provides makes so much sense to us and is something we had always wished existed!”
In addition to supporting The New Zealand Food Network, Fix & Fogg also provide donations of peanut butter directly to City Missions, Women’s Refuges, Ronald McDonald Houses and Love Soup.
